Over 250 guests attended the Expat Investment Conference

24.10.2014

The EXPAT INVESTMENT CONFERENCE, where different points of view on the development of financial markets were presented, gathered a lot of interest. The lectors Paul Marson, managing partner at Monogram Capital Management, Claudia Panseri, global equity strategist and member of the investment strategy team at Soci?t? G?n?rale Private Banking, and Nikolay Vassilev, managing partner at Expat Capital, presented their forecasts in front of more than 250 guests and gave their recommendations for investments in different regions, sectors, and asset classes.

Paul Marson identified the US as highly overvalued with an extreme drawdown risk. Meanwhile, according to him, the European markets are much more attractive.

Claudia Panseri presented her concerns about the slowdown of the global economic growth, but described the American growth as sustainable. According to her, Norway is a good investment opportunity with a strong earnings growth outlook, as the market is cheap compared to its historical levels and to other Eurozone markets. China was also identified as undervalued and with improving economic indicators.

Nikolay Vassilev outlined the challenges faced by Bulgaria and by the rest of the world, and the topics and problems which would affect the markets the most. He also focused the audience's attention to the mistakes made by unprofessional investors, such as being affected by rumours, comments and wrong stereotypes, or making hasty moves because of fear or impatience. Nikolay Vassilev highlighted the advantages of using professional wealth managers for one's personal investments – detailed analysis, long-term personalised strategy, access to investment opportunities worldwide, confidentiality and security.
