Expat Future Trends is an open-ended UCITS-compliant mutual fund with daily quotеs. The fund was registered with the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) on October 5, 2026, and operates in accordance with the CISOCIUA and under the ongoing supervision of the regulator. Characteristics:

  • Immediate liquidity. The fund’s units are 100% liquid, the investor may withdraw and deposit funds at any time with no yield losses.
  • No capital gains taxes. Investments in mutual funds in Bulgaria are tax exempt – 0% profit tax for legal entities, 0% income tax for individuals.
  • Focus on global structural trends. The primary selection criteria are the companies’ long-term growth potential within the identified trends. The investor receives exposure to markets in which a separate investment would be more difficult and expensive.
  • Active and professional portfolio management. The fund is managed by a team of portfolio managers and financial analysts who monitor the markets and global economic and geopolitical trends. A “top-down” approach is applied: first, global sectors and trends with long-term potential are identified, and then specific issuers are selected based on their financial condition, growth prospects, quality of management and market valuation.
  • Hedging Techniques. To protect against market, currency, and other risks, the fund uses currency forward contracts, options, and inverse instruments. These may enhance the fund’s performance, but do not guarantee it.
  • Low investment threshold in EUR. The Expat funds invest in financial instruments worldwide in different currencies, but their shares are quoted in euros. Prices quoted in EUR provide convenience for both national and foreign investors. The minimum investment in Expat's mututal funds is EUR 51, which makes them suitable for monthly savings.

The mutual fund invests primarily in stocks, with a focus on global structural trends. In this regard, it can be classified under the 5th (out of the 7) category of the risk indicator. The recommended holding period is 5 years. Investments in a mutual fund are not guaranteed by a guarantee fund, and past performance is not indicative of future results. The value of shares and the income from them may decline; profits are not guaranteed; and investors assume the risk of not recovering their investments in full.
